Join OPERATIF! and special guest, Sicilian tenor, Antonio Nicolosi, who flies in from Rome, for a stunning late afternoon concert of Italian opera and song in the sensational setting of the Cooroy Amphitheatre.

 

The venue has a magnificent natural acoustic, perfectly suited to the big operatic voices of OPERATIF! And evokes images of the famous Arenadi Verona and the Baths of Caracalla in Rome.

 

OPERATIF! is delighted to be launching this new series of quarterly Sunday concerts with this thrilling singer. Nicolosi is a Rome-based tenor and student of legendary tenor Nicola Martinucci.

The Lake Macdonald Amphitheatre is located in the Lake Macdonald Botanic Gardens at Cooroy. Coming from Brisbane you turn right in the direction of Noosa after taking the Cooroy exit from the Bruce Highway. Follow the railway line (on your left) in the direction of Pomona and turn right at the sign which says 'Botanic Gardens'. Then follow this road for approximately three kilometres until you reach the gardens and the Lake. There will be substantial signage on the day of the performance.

 

Parking will be outside the Botanic Gardens as directed by parking volunteers. Mostly down by the Lake.

 

There is no cost for parking.
