Italian Display at Townsville Museum

Townsville Museum will host a display for Italian Week from Monday 26 May to Friday 6 June. The display will feature stories of local Italian identities, Pino Armarti, Mr. Frairer and Reno Badesso.    The story of the commencement and building of the Italian club is also featured along with early photos of Townsville taken by Reno Badesso.    Some of the artifacts belonging to Pino Armarti will also feature.     On Sunday 1st June the museum  will have an open day from 10am – 3.30pm featuring Italian music, singing/dancing and coffee & Italian cakes available for sale.

Come and experience what Townsville Museum has to offer from an extensive collection of artifacts, photographs and building plans of early Townsville buildings, some of which no longer form part of our landscape. The Museum is the memory bank of our past whilst preserving it for future generations to experience and enjoy.

 

Opening hours – Monday to Friday 9am. to 2.30pm.  Closed Public Holidays
