Versione Italiana

An emerging pianist from Brisbane, Wade Gregory is carving his niche in the local jazz scene. An honours student at the Queensland Conservatorium, he’s developing a reputation for being a versatile and skilled musician around town.

As winner of the 2006 Pellegrino Scholarship, Wade furthered his studies in Tuscany, Italy. He attended the International Jazz Master Classes at Siena Jazz 2006 which included seminars, workshops and concerts with some of Italy’s finest jazz instructors.

He describes his time in Siena as “truly an amazing experience, and a wonderful opportunity to see first-hand the international language of music at work.”

Back in Brisbane, Wade is finishing his studies in music (and also trying to keep his Italian from going rusty!) With performances at the Sunshine Coast Jazz and Blues Fest, the Valley Jazz Festival and many other venues around the region, this year is shaping up to be as exciting as 2006.
